Members of seven-person panel chaired by Pádraig Ó Céidigh, founder and chairperson of Aer Arann, spoke briefly and then fielded questions during a lively discussion lasting more than two hours.

The panel comprised:

• Robert Conneely, Funeral Director, JJ Conneely & Sons
• Éadaoin O’Brien, Irish Centre for Human Rights, NUIG
• Michael Egan, Living Links (Suicide Bereavement Group)
• Raymond Gately, Chaplain, Merlin Park Hospital
• Dr. Helen Greally, Psychologist, Cancer Care West
• Maura Horan, Nursing Homes Ireland, West/Director of Nursing, Moycullen Nursing Home, Galway

The proceedings of this session, and all our public meetings in towns and cities, will be considered as part of the Report being compiled on the Forum on  End of Life.
