At Forum 2011, Ita Mangan responded to the four workshops and the day's proceedings.
Ita has degrees in Economics
and Law from UCD and King’s Inns. From 1973-1977 she was Information Officer
for the Irish Congress of Trade Unions. She then moved to the National Social
Service Board as Information Officer before editing Relate the monthly information journal on citizens’ rights
published by the Citizens Information Board.
She has been Legal Adviser on
Citizens Rights to the European Commission office in Ireland, Special Adviser to the
Minister of State at the Departments of Foreign Affairs and Justice, and from
1997 to date has been working as a Legal and Social Affairs Consultant.
